Paying homage to one of Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite tenets - ‘Cleanliness is next to godliness’ - the Government of India has launchedThe Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 2nd October, 2014, the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. As you would appreciate, we need to inculcate the spirit of hygiene, cleanliness and aversion to unhygienic conditions in all our children from the very initial years of their schooling itself, so that every child in the country appreciates the value of good, clean and hygienic living
In this regard, SUDHA society Regd. ( SOCIETY fOR UPLIFTMENT AND DEV.Of HUMAN BEINGS BY ACTION ) in association with RWA south city A1 block launched the Swachh Bharat Swachh colony Campaignon 2nd Oct. 2014 at 8.30 AM to 10.30 AM in A1 block south city 2 Gurgaon.
The students, parents, along with RWA Management Committees participated in this programme. Broom , Mask and gloves arrangement are being made to the residents by sudha society .The large number of children and parents participated in the Programme. The agenda of the programmewas as under--1)Residents participated to clean the roads and parks of A1 block from 8.30 AM onwards. Ladies also took part in the cleanliness drive in spite of pooja festival.
Organized , drawing , painting competitions,. on cleanliness and hygiene(Three best slogan on and three best painting given prize by the chief Guest.) 3) Constituted of Children’s’ Cabinets to supervise and monitor the cleanliness drive. 4) constituted of Adult ‘s cabinet to supervise and monitor the cleanliness driveï‚·.5) oath by residents on cleaniless taken .6) Sh. S. N. Roychudhary Artiest from south city 2 has drawn portrait of Mahtma Gandhi in the spot and filled it with the color. It was well appreciated by all.
An example of a best practice which includes songs and sounds to bring home the message of cleanliness, appreciates the value of good, clean and hygienic living coniditionwas shown in the programme.
Lt. Gen. Retd. Gautam Banerjee was the chiefGuest of the event and Col. D. R. Yadav Secretary RWA sourh city 2 was the Guest of honour. President A1 block sh.Amitabhkhare and Lt. retd B.S. chauhan Joint TreasureRWA south city 2 was in the part of cleanliness campaign. The programme was conducted by Sh. G K bhatnagar President sudhasociety.Sh. Neerajyadav, AkashAgarwaland MukeshSaneja took active part to make the programme successful. Ms. Nirupamakhare from D block was the judge of the painting and slogan competition. Gen. Banerjee appreciated the role of SUDHA society in taking burning issues of the society and involving the local residents In their initiatives. Col. Yadav and NirupamaKhare also spoke in this occasion.
On the onset Sh. G K bhatnagarPresident sudha society welcomed the chief Guest and Guest. Followed by this 13 Children( Diksha, Vani, Ananya, Tanishaetc) sung the” Hom ho gekamyab’’ song which was appreciated by the guests and gathering.
