Raipur center International Mother’s Day Celebration by Sudha Society Foundation

Raipur, 7th May 2026

On the occasion of International Mother’s Day which falls on 10th May, Sudha Society Foundation, Raipur organized a grand celebration at Xavier Institute of Social Action, Campion School, Vidhansabha Road, Raipur on 7th May 2026.

Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Columbia University, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Dr. Supriya Singh (Gynaecologist), Smt. Sunita Chaudhary (Social Worker), and Shri Prithvipal Bhatnagar (Businessman, Amar Super Mart) attended as Guests of Honour. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries.

On this occasion, 23 distinguished mothers from various fields of society were felicitated with Certificates of Appreciation and coffee mugs by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour for their remarkable contributions to their families and society.

During the event, the 3rd Foundation Day of Sudha Open School, Amasivani was also celebrated. The school children presented vibrant cultural performances including dance, songs, and short skits. All participating children were awarded prizes by the Foundation.

The Foundation also distributed certificates to 9 women who successfully completed the free 3-month Dress Designing and Stitching Training at the Amasivani Centre.

In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Raman Kumar Jha appreciated the social initiatives of Sudha Society Foundation and extended his best wishes for all future endeavors.

The program was anchored by Dr. Nishi Agrawal and Ms. Prachi Agrawal. Special contributions to the success of the event were made by Smt. Reema Acharya, Smt. Bharti Maravi, Bhavna Yadav, Khushi Yadav, and Smt. Sakshi Singh.

At the beginning of the program, Shri G K Bhatnagar, Founder & Chairman of the Society, welcomed all guests with potted plants and coffee mugs. More than 40 children from Sudha Open School participated enthusiastically in the event.

Addressing the gathering, Shri G K Bhatnagar said, “Today we are honouring those glorious mothers and women who are agents of change. Through their outstanding work in their respective fields, they have inspired society with dedication and service.”

Renowned singer Ms. Barkha Bisen enthralled the audience with her melodious songs, while social workers Ms. Rachana Goyal and Shashi Atulkar shared their experiences of social work.

The program concluded with refreshments for all attendees, followed by the Vote of Thanks delivered by Shri G K Bhatnagar, Founder & Chairman, Sudha Society Foundation.
