(Raipur Center )                         Sudha Open School Celebrates International Literacy Day                                

    Sudha Open School in Amaseoni, Raipur, recently celebrated International Literacy Day on September 8, 2025  aligning with the global theme of promoting literacy as a fundamental human right and a key driver of peace, justice, and sustainable development. The event was marked with great enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of accessible education and lifelong learning.

Key Highlights of the Event

- Guest of Honor: Mrs. Nishi Khare, a social worker, and Shri Kailash Khare, ( Retired )an engineer, graced the occasion as guests of honor.

- Distribution of Stationery: The school provided copies, pens, and stationery to all students, which were distributed by the guests.

- Welcome Ceremony: Shri G.K. Bhatnagar, Chairman of Sudha Society Foundation, welcomed the guests and  presented them a momentoes.Students presented a welcome song and a cultural program featuring dance and songs.Prizes were distributed to all kids by Guests those presented a cultural program.

- Appreciation: Guests appreciated the society's activities and the open school concept which society is doing since 2008 -2009,recognizing the efforts to promote literacy and education.

Significance of International Literacy Day

International Literacy Day, observed annually on September 8, emphasizes the importance of literacy in building a more literate, just, peaceful, and sustainable society.
