Raipur center Students of Amity University, Raipur, Second Year B.A. Economics Honors (3rd Semester), visited Sudha Open School, Amaseoni, Raipur, on 29/11/25 as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which is being observed until October 31, 2026.
The program was conceptualized by the Amity students themselves. Mr. Gopal Krishna Bhatnagar, Chairman of Sudha Society, highlighted the life and achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and anchored the event. He stated that the Amity students chose this day to express their unity and respect for Sardar Patel, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Raipur (November 28-30). He introduced the group of 12 Amity students: Anjan Pandey, Mohini Sahu, Akshat Sharma, Priyansh Rathod, Sakshi Kaushik, Satyam Jha, Janhavi Patel, Arya Sharma, Kartike Agarwal, Ritika Shah, and Disha Sarda.
The event began with a welcome song by the children. The students participated in a drawing and painting competition, showcasing their talents, and also took part in a quiz competition based on Sardar Patel's life. Chief Guests Mrs. Meena Sharma, a social worker, and Mr. Vinod Gupta, former Principal of Kendriya vidhyalaya Guest of Honour along with special guest Ms. Aaushi Sharma, distributed prizes to the winners. The event was appreciated by all attendees.
