Deepotsav 2020 Celebration by Sudha Society
Diwali is a festival of light. Let’s prove that right by enlightening poor and underprivilege’s life. Our culture speaks volumes about this festival, but what’s usually missed is this festival is not just about being happy; it’s also about making others happy.
This Diwali SUDHA Society in collaboration with Helping hands, HP Studio came forward to distribute 121 mustard oil bottles in Fazilpur, Sohna on November 12, 2020, Thursday.
HP Studio along with SUDHA Society took a pledge- ‘Iss Diwali paanch diye kam’ so that it could help in running the kitchens of these underprivileged families. Because what better way to make someone’s Diwali than to help them light and run their kitchen.
We believe that the more happiness you spread the happier you get. Together we can do this by making these little efforts to make the lives of slum dwellers and migrant workers a little better.
Mr. Gaurav Dhingra (CA and Social Worker) was invited as the guest of honour along with Mr. GK Bhatnagar, President of SUDHA Society. The initiative would not have been possible without the contribution and support of the Helping Hands CSR team, HP Studio: Deepti Dang, Suvikrant Maira, Anju Yadav, Harsimran Anand, Divya Chawla, Shaoni Chowdhury, Vineeta Grover, Gaurav Kumar and Pallv Medhi.
It was yet another initiative by the organisation for ensuring the welfare of lower strata of the society. Diwali is a festival of joy and lights- deepotsav. It is more about the spirit of giving & spreading happiness than receiving. As SUDHA Society always say small contributions can make a huge difference in the lives of people.
SUDHA Society members Mrs. Deepti Goyal, District Coordinator (education); Mrs. Geeta Parashar, District coordinator (mental health care); Dr. Kirti Bajpai, Executive Director (Women empowerment cell); Mr. Nishant Goel, volunteer; Mrs. Chhavi Sharma, volunteer- came forward and actively participated contributing to the good cause. SUDHA Society looks forward to other such initiatives for igniting a spark of hope and happiness in the lives of these underprivileged families.
